Masking Tape is made from a thin and easy tear paper and an easily released pressure sensitive adhesive. It is commonly referred to as home decorators tape or painters tape.  Masking tape is available in several adhesive strengths, the more expensive the tape the longer the tape can be left on a surface without leaving a residue and damaging the surface. Masking Tape as the name suggests is designed to mask edges up when painting in either the automotive industry, home decorating or cabinet making.
